Simba is a Canadian Lynx. His owner read in a
newspaper about how Simba would make a good house pet. VERY WRONG! When he
realized that he could not handle Simba after he was just a few months old.
TIGERS FOR TOMORROW was asked to step in and take Simba. We did and look how
beautiful he is! He now has a proper home, with good nutrition, where he will
live out the rest of his life.
Benny is a Black Leopard. He was found by Florida's Wildlife commission
at a breeding facility. Benny was covered in urine, feces and mange.
He could not lift his head from lack of nutrition. WHY? Because
the breeder considered Benny a surplus cub. That means the breeder
did not have someone to buy Benny so he left him to die. A veterinarian
took care of his immediate care and then TIGERS FOR TOMORROW took him and
worked with him. Here you can see how beautiful he is 2 years later.
Benny even walks on a leash with the owner Sue. I've also included
a picture of them from Christmas that you might like to see.
Kate is a tiger. She was about to be sold to a
Canned Hunt or at an exotic auction. Junji canned hunts are terrible things.
The people who run these hunts buy exotic babies, raise them and then allow a
hunter to pay a fee so they can hunt the animal once it is older. This is so
bad because these animals are use to people and when they are released they have
no learned defense skills the way a wild animal would. It is a horrible way for
their lives to end. TFT saved this little tiger from being a victim. Here I am
feeding Kate a bottle. The other picture is of her playing with a football, one
of her favorite toys.
Well that's it for now as we get more animals I'll
let you know their stories. I think it is very important for people around the
world to know how many bad things happen to animals and why we need to rescue
them.
Best Wishes,
